Strait Acer on target at Rosehill
Strait Acer’s fruitful prep continued with a Saturday Metro win at Rosehill Gardens at the weekend. It was the four-year-old’s second win from three starts so far this time in.
He is a very progressive young horse that we still probably haven’t figured out the best distance for. He won over 1500m at Rosehill and was tiring late. Admittedly Jason Collett said he may have gone too early but he was game in winning none the less.
There is another Midway race in three weeks at Randwick that is over 1400m, and we will probably head that way with Jason retaining the ride.
He was a $25,000 Inglis Ready 2 Race purchase and has now won over $138,000 in prizemoney with his three wins and a placing from eight starts.
