North Terrace is a talented 5-year-old gelding with real staying promise. A multiple city placegetter who has already won over 1600m, he handles wet tracks and has shifted to Melbourne to take advantage of a stronger staying programme and bigger tracks. He’s in the early stages of a solid preparation, and the Flemington setup is clearly suiting him as he builds toward his first attempt at 2400m this prep.


This Adelaide colt ex Party Hard (Fastnet Rock) is mated on the pre-eminent ‘nick’ in global Thoroughbred breeding (Galileo /Danehill). It is the same cross responsible for Adelaide’s only Group 1 winner in Australia in Funstar (G1 Flight Stakes, G1 2nd in Surround Stakes and Epsom Hcp). Furthermore, this colt comes off the same farm as Funstar in Bowness Stud and is bred by the same John Sheather responsible for Funstar. The similarities go further still, as both Funstar and this colt are almost identical at the same stage as yearlings – see below for a picture of Funstar at the Asutralian Easter yearling sale of 2018;

Party Hard is by champion sire Fastnet Rock and has already thrown 3 winners from 3 to race, including Fill Of Fun – a $100,000 earner already. She has since won another two races since we secured this colt, at Newcastle and a Metro win at Canterbury Park. Purchased for $70,000 this Adelaide colt was fabulous value in a tough market and will be aimed towards 3yo Classic races, emulating his older Bowness Stud Alumni Funstar.
